Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brewster B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewster B has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brewster B!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Red!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

B clinches.

B manages to break the clinch.
Brewster B seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
B throws a series of punches but Red moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from B.
A decent looking body kick lands there for B.
B stalks Red and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Red's face. Red staggers backwards, shaken.
B scores with the left hand. Red knows he should have avoided that one.
B misses with the combination.
Red fakes high and swings low for a body shot but B manages to avoid it.
B moves in looking to clinch but Red pushes him off.

Red will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Red shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts B as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

B drives through and clinches with Red against the cage.
B wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

B breaks the clinch.

B scores with a one two! Red had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Red is still on wobbly legs! Can B finish him?

and Red holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Red seems to have recovered his senses.

Red has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics B uses from the top position.

B is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

B cracks Red with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
B has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Red is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


B fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Red is trying to maintain a safe position but B gets an underhook and turns Red into the cage.
Red tries to score a body lock takedown but B shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Red has B pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. B manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

B breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
B misses with a double jab.

so Red counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

B is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Red's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

B pushes Red off and scrambles back to his feet.

Red wants to control from the top but B keeps moving.
B is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

B stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Red to get to his feet.

Red shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

B is defending against the submission attempts here by Red.

B kicks off Red and gets to his feet.

B clinches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Red tries to pull guard but B won't allow it.
Brewster B has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Red.
B manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brewster B will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Red shoots in but no luck this time.
B throws a front kick that sends Red stumbling back into the cage.
B fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Red is out of range.
Red tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and B counters with a left and a right that stings Red.
Red shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says B as he avoids it easily.

B drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Red manages to work his way to half guard, despite B's best efforts.
Red is looking to get back to full guard here but B has managed to pass to side control instead.
Red really doesn't want to stay on the ground with B. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Red tries to lock up and control but B gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
B postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Red looks a forlorn figure.

B takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
B has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Red is squirming around, avoiding B's attempts to control the action.
Red slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
B slips a nice elbow through Red's hands, connecting with Red's forehead.
Red is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
B wants to control but Red is keeping him busy.
B works his way into full mount!

B tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Brewster B just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

B kicks off Red and gets to his feet.
Big Red has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

B has managed to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brewster B showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for B, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
