The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fjodor misses with a few strikes there.
Fjodor just misses with a punch to the body.
Apacz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fjodor throws out the jab.
Apacz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fjodor scores with a nice right hand.
Fjodor scores with the left hand. Apacz knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Matthew Apacz has been cut.
Apacz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fjodor pinned against the cage. Fjodor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fjodor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Apacz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fjodor connects with a looping right hand.
Fjodor throws a hook but Apacz avoids it easily.
Fjodor misses the jab.
Apacz on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Apacz slips a straight right by Fjodor.
Apacz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Oh Apacz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fjodor cracks Apacz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fjodor tried to score with a low kick but Apacz checks it.
Fjodor jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Apacz defending well as Fjodor loads up on a big left hand.
Apacz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fjodor's waist but Fjodor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Apacz off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Apacz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Apacz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fjodor as he jumps to the side.
Apacz seems to have got his legs back now.
Fjodor scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fjodor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fjodor is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Apacz had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Apacz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fjodor as he jumps to the side.

Fjodor lands with a straight right. Apacz didn't see that one coming.
Apacz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fjodor pinned against the cage. Fjodor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck for Apacz with that takedown attempt.
Apacz is breathing heavily.
Fjodor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fjodor is looking to slow Apacz down with leg kicks.

Fjodor misses with an uppercut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fjodor, as that shot connected.

Fjodor scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Apacz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fjodor as he avoids it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Apacz takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Fjodor cracks Apacz with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Apacz looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Fjodor finish him?
Fjodor throws a looping overhand right but Apacz ducks down to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabolous Fjodor dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fjodor drops Apacz with a naaaaasty hook - Apacz is in real trouble here! Fjodor dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fabolous Fjodor!
Fabolous Fjodor spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
