Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Janos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Safire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janos comes to the cage accompanied by Predator Theme. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Safire shoots in for a double leg but Janos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Safire darts in and clinches Janos up against the cage.
Safire landing some nice looking knees to the body.

It looks like Fred Safire has been cut.

Safire turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Safire manages to end up in side control.
Safire postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Safire wants to lay and pray for a moment but Janos keeps working.

Safire has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Janos is trying to keep an underhook but Safire manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Safire is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Janos defends it well.

Safire is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Janos has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Janos!

Safire has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Janos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Janos takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fred Safire's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
