Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shipping Up to Boston. Storm has chosen ThunderStruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Bennett throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Storm looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bennett throws a shot to the body.
Bennett swats away the attempt to clinch by Storm.
Bennett leaves Storm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bennett lands a nice looking body shot.
Storm shoots in for a takedown but Bennett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brad Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Storm.
Bennett misses with a double jab.
Storm staying out of range there.
Bennett cracks Storm with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bennett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bennett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Storm backs up against the cage.

Storm closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Storm shoots in for a double leg but Bennett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bennett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bennett works Storm's body with a nice hook.
Bennett digs a good body shot into Storm's ribs.
Bennett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bennett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Storm's hands.
Storm shoots in for a takedown but Bennett shows good takedown defense.
Bennett lands a right hook to the body.
Brad Bennett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Storm is defended easily by Bennett.

Storm on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bennett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Storm circles away quickly and effectively.
Storm avoids the body shot from Bennett.
Storm looks for a takedown but Bennett sprawls well.
Bennett lands a right hook to the body.
Storm shoots and misses
letting Bennett counter with a right hand.
Bennett stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Storm shoots in for a takedown but Bennett shows good takedown defense.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bennett. Storm does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice uppercut there from Bennett.
Bennett connects with a body shot that sends Storm's belly button to the back.

Storm takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bennett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bennett lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Storm at a distance.
Bennett is looking to wear down Storm with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Bennett throws a series of punches but Storm avoids them all with ease.
Bennett misses with a hook.
Storm misses with a takedown
and Bennett counters with a left and a right that stings Storm.
Storm doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bennett counters with a series of strikes. Storm will be more careful next time no doubt.
Storm shoots in looking for a takedown. Bennett tries to sprawl out of it but Storm keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bennett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bennett moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bennett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bennett fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Storm looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bennett looks to throw the jab but Storm is out of range.
Horrible takedown by Storm or perhaps it was just good defense by Bennett which made him look bad.
Bennett's corner calls for a 1-2. Bennett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The crowd cheers as Bennett lands an impressive looking overhand right. Storm doesn't seem phased though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bennett.
Storm shoots and misses
and Storm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Storm takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Storm shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bennett as he jumps to the side.
Brad Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bennett scores with a hook to the body. Storm takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Bennett dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bennett scores with the left hand. Storm knows he should have avoided that one.
Brad Bennett is winning the standup battle so far.
Bennett just misses with a punch to the body.
Bennett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Storm moves away.
Bennett stuns Storm with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Storm moves out of range of the strikes.
Bennett lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Storm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bennett defends it nicely.
Bennett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Storm manages to avoid it.
Bennett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Storm.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bennett misses with a lunging right hand

and Storm counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bennett is trying to control but can't.

Storm is working for a submission of some sort.
Bennett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Storm is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Storm is trying for a kimura here. Bennett looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Storm wins by kimura!
