PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Channell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Slayter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slayter has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jack Slayter struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jack Slayter is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Channell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Slayter did well to prevent Channell getting side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Channell is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Slayter is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Clark Channell!
