The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aquilano fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aquilano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aquilano has managed to clinch.
Joaquin throws an elbow that misses.
Joaquin pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Joaquin striking off his back but it's not causing Aquilano any problems.
Aquilano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Aquilano is fighting to break Joaquin's control of his arms but Joaquin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Joaquin is on top in guard.
Joaquin passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Joaquin takes a little break here. Aquilano wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Aquilano is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Joaquin is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joaquin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Joaquin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Aquilano is covering up but some of the strikes from Joaquin are getting through and doing damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Joaquin has got one arm under Aquilano's chin. This could be trouble... Aquilano trying to control the other hand but Joaquin gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Aquilano has tapped out! The fight is over!
