Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drestin Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alaska Brown! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Brown is trying to stand.
Brown wants to control but Black is keeping busy and won't allow it. Black is controlling the pace.
Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Brown is trying to stand.
Black is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Brown should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Black content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black works his foot free and advances to mount. Black takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Brown tries to hold on but Black postures up. Black is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brown is surviving well by controlling Black's body position as best he can. Black landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking to improve his position but Black isn't that keen on the idea. Black controlling from the full mount. Black looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown tries to hold on but Black postures up. Black with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Black looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Brown's face.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Black landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble! Black wants to take Brown's back but he can't do it this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown tries to buck Black off but he can't manage it. Brown looks gassed! Brown tries to reverse the position but Black maintains control. BOOM! Black connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown is trying to stand but he's just given Black his back. Black is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Black looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Brown taps!
