The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gold.
Wailer needs to keep his hands up - Gold had a free shot at his head there.
Wailer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gold scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gold wants to land a leg kick but Wailer is out of range.
Wailer lands with a nice body punch.
Gold falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wailer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gold thinking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wailer tries to clinch up.
Wailer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wailer keeps Gold at a distance using the push kick.
Gold fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wailer tries to bum rush Gold with a series of wild strikes but Gold uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wailer throws a leg kick which misses Gold's front leg but catches the back leg as Gold tries to avoid it.
Wailer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Gold.
Gold moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wailer swings for the body but Gold moves out of range.
Gold looks to land a right hand but Wailer moved out of range.
Gold tries for a takedown but Wailer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wailer throws a lazy right hand but Gold sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gold takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gold scores with a decent looking hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gold throws a leg kick but Wailer moved away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gold swats away the attempt to clinch by Wailer.
Wailer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gold keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wailer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gold pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Gold feints and as Wailer raises his hands in defense, Gold changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gold postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gold throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wailer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wailer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gold doesn't defend quickly enough and Wailer has managed to lock this one up! Can Gold escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wailer on a fantastic submission victory.
