The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mejias was covering up waiting for the punch and King finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mejias has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mejias had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.

Mejias looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mejias looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but King is defending well. Mejias quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! King has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mejias celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
