The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson moves out of range of the body kick from Lapik.
Jackson blocks the body kick.

Lapik throws a leg kick but Jackson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lapik goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jackson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Eugeny Lapik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lapik to the mat! Lapik manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lapik wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lapik is looking to sweep but instead, Jackson has passed into half guard.

Lapik tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lapik looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lapik is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Jackson! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Lapik has tapped! This one is allllll over!
