The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pertwee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pertwee lands some shots froms side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Von Prawn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pertwee is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Von Prawn.

Pertwee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Pertwee is nestled in close to Von Prawn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pertwee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Von Prawn on his heels. He'll look to pass Von Prawn's guard now, I'm sure.
Pertwee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pertwee arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Von Prawn's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
