Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Hoffman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter White! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffman tries to clinch there but White circles away.
White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hoffman is trying to get back to half guard. White takes a little break here. Hoffman wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. White tries for a kimura but Hoffman is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee asks White politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. White prefers to stall for the moment though. White decides to stand back up. White steps back and let's Hoffman get back to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from White enables Hoffman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. White manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. White is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hoffman has his hands clasped together but White extends an breaks Hoffman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by White.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Walter White! Walter White really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Reaper Combatwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
