Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russell's entrance music is LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. A fine choice. Wilkinson has chosen Overkill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaun Russell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Russell takes a swing at Wilkinson's ribcage but misses. Wilkinson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Russell did well to prevent Wilkinson getting side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Wilkinson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Russell defends it well. Russell wants to control but Wilkinson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wilkinson trying to control from half guard but Russell is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilkinson stalling. Wilkinson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Russell has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson is pressing down on Russell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Russell is holding on for now. Wilkinson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Russell is just riding it out for now. Wilkinson eventually gives up the hold. Wilkinson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wilkinson looking to control but Russell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wilkinson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Russell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Russell shrugs it off. Poor strikes thrown by Wilkinson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Wilkinson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Russell is now in Wilkinson's guard. A big mistake from Wilkinson there, giving up the dominant position! Russell wants to stand but Wilkinson is controlling his posture from full guard. Wilkinson working a defensive guard here.
Wilkinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Russell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Russell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Russell tries to stand but Wilkinson is controlling from the bottom. Wilkinson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Russell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Wilkinson has tightened it up now! Russell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
