Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tamong Kodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Logan Steele!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele shoots in but Kodo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kodo throws a right hand that misses
and Steele counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kodo moves forwards but Steele connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Steele shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kodo sprawls well. Kodo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steele gets slowly back to his feet.
Kodo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Steele sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Steele avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Steele throws a push kick but Kodo slaps the foot to one side.
Steele lands a glancing blow to the side of Kodo's head.
Steele throws a body punch but Kodo moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kodo misses with a series of wild punches.
Steele wants to clinch but Kodo slips to the side
and Kodo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Steele is looking to clinch.
Steele doesn't manage to clinch there - Kodo circles away.
Kodo thows a body shot but no joy.
Steele moves away from the strike by Kodo.

Steele fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kodo to the ground. Steele is now in Kodo's guard.
Steele wants to control from the top but Kodo keeps moving.
Steele might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kodo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele stands and throws Kodo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kodo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Steele is looking to advance position but Kodo won't allow it.
Steele throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Steele seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kodo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Logan Steele!
Our winner, Logan Steele, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
