Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Horacio Vanderbeet!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner with a poor takedown

and Vanderbeet counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Vanderbeet leaning his opponent against the cage.

Vanderbeet turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vanderbeet manages to end up in side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Winner manages to get back to half guard.
Winner tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Winner gets full guard.
Vanderbeet wants to control from the top but Winner keeps moving.
Vanderbeet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Winner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vanderbeet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vanderbeet manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vanderbeet can do anything to dispel that myth.

Winner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Vanderbeet has worked his arm free - good work by Vanderbeet!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vanderbeet managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Winner.

Winner tries for a takedown but Vanderbeet sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Life Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Winner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vanderbeet.
Vanderbeet lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Vanderbeet.

Winner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vanderbeet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vanderbeet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Winner goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Vanderbeet rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Winner's guard! Nice work there by Vanderbeet!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Winner is on top in guard.
