Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Huxtable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cliff Huxtable!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans is looking to clinch but Huxtable is avoiding it.
Evans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Evans rushes Huxtable and presses him up against the cage.

Evans has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Huxtable clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huxtable is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Huxtable prevents Evans from getting a body triangle.
Huxtable tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Huxtable drops back looking for a leg! Evans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick Huxtable off! Huxtable jumps back into Evans's guard.

Huxtable drops back, looking for a kneebar! Evans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Evans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Evans!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Rashad Evans will probably get the nod.

Huxtable moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Evans has worked his arm free - good work by Evans!
Evans pushes Huxtable away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Huxtable gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Huxtable wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rashad Evans will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Evans connects with a nice short shot to Huxtable's temple.

Huxtable takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Evans has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Huxtable to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Evans is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Huxtable pulls down on the head and he's put Evans to sleep! This one is all over!
