Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peekay Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Noise Won't Stop. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peekay Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Sparks! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparks ducks under a wild hook from Williams. Williams tries to bum rush Sparks with a series of wild strikes but Sparks uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sparks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Williams looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Williams lands a glancing blow to the side of Sparks's head. Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williams lands a leg kick that knocks Sparks off balance momentarily. Sparks shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense. Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sparks! Sparks sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sparks moves into full guard.
Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Williams wants to control from the top but Sparks keeps moving. Sparks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Sparks is retaining full guard. Williams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Williams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sparks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams gets full guard. Sparks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sparks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Sparks trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sparks postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it. Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sparks is aware though and is defending well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams keeping moving, preventing Sparks from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sparks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Sparks wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Williams is looking to sweep but instead, Sparks has passed into half guard.
Williams works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sparks defends it easily. Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sparks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sparks forces his way into half guard. Sparks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sparks. Sparks passes the guard and advances to mount! Sparks quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Sparks but it's paid off an Williams is forced to tap! Nice work by Sparks.
