Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nuib Sharaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zachary Sawyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nuib Sharaz! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharaz darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Sharaz shoots in and bounces Sawyer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Sharaz throws a strike but Sawyer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sawyer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sharaz thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sharaz holds on and takes a little breather. Sharaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sawyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sawyer is pushing down on Sharaz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sharaz is fighting to maintain full guard but Sawyer has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sharaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sawyer is thwarting Sharaz's attempts to control the position. Sawyer is trying to control. Sharaz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sharaz is trying to maintain the position but Sawyer is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sharaz tries to get to full guard but Sawyer has control of the leg. Sawyer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sawyer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sharaz is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Sharaz?

Sawyer looking to break Sharaz's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sharaz remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sawyer will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Sawyer is not going to allow Sharaz to sit and survive in this position. Sawyer controlling the position well here. Sharaz rolled but Sawyer kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Sawyer really is a fat lump. Sawyer trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Sharaz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sawyer tries to get the hooks in deep but Sharaz pushed the leg off. A bit of a pause in the action here. Sawyer controlling the positon. Sawyer controlling well, preventing Sharaz from escaping the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Sawyer's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Zachary Sawyer dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sharaz tries to clinch up but Sawyer circles away and keeps his distance. Sharaz forces Sawyer back against the cage and clinches. Sawyer keeps control of Sharaz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sawyer pulls guard successfully.

Sharaz with a flurry of punches that miss. Sawyer is looking to stand up but Sharaz isn't so interested in that idea. Sawyer kicks Sharaz off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sharaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sharaz blocks a leg kick. Sharaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Sawyer sprawls well. He's pushed Sharaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sharaz fails in his attempt to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sharaz. Sawyer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sharaz is breathing heavily. Sharaz trying to control from the bottom.
Sawyer is looking to take a break and control but Sharaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sharaz tries to get to full guard but Sawyer has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer slows the pace down in half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sawyer is looking for a kimura here.

Sawyer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sawyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sharaz's waist but Sharaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sawyer off to one side. Sawyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Sharaz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sawyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Zachary Sawyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nuib Sharaz. Sharaz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sawyer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sharaz sprawls well. Sharaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sawyer gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Sharaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Sawyer which made him look bad. Sharaz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sawyer but Sawyer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sawyer has managed to clinch.
Sawyer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sawyer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sharaz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sharaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sawyer is fending him off so far but Sharaz persists. Nope, Sawyer circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachary Sawyer dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sawyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sawyer passes Sharaz's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sawyer passes to side control. Sawyer is trying to get an arm triangle but Sharaz is defending well. Sawyer takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Sharaz to pass into mount. Sawyer throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer looking to control but Sharaz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sawyer controlling from the full mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sharaz is working to get back to half guard.
Sawyer lands a nice shot to the head. Sawyer controlling from mount. Sharaz can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sharaz is trying to reverse the position but instead Sawyer has taken his back - oops! Sharaz trying to get back to his feet but Sawyer is in full control for now. Sawyer is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Sharaz is in bad spot here.
Sawyer avoiding Sharaz 's attempts to control his hands. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawyer throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Sharaz is trying to defend against the choke here but Sawyer has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Sawyer Tightens the hold and Sharaz taps out furiously! Sawyer displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
