Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lucas Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trifu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Trifu throws a nice outside leg kick.
Thompson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Trifu.
Thompson darts in trying to clinch
and Trifu counters with a body kick that stops Thompson in his tracks momentarily.
Flavius Trifu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Trifu throws a sloppy head kick and Thompson moves out of range easily.
Good leg kick by Trifu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A nice inside leg kick there by Trifu. That's going to slow Thompson down.
Thompson misses with an uppercut. Trifu saw that one coming.
Trifu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Thompson. Thompson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trifu lands a head kick. Thompson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Trifu lands a nice looking kick to the body. Thompson takes a step back to recover.
Thompson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trifu tries to avoid it but Thompson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trifu to the ground. Trifu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trifu throws a head kick that half lands.

Thompson is rocked!
Nice takedown defense from Trifu. No joy for Thompson on that attempt.
Thompson looks winded!
Trifu thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thompson if he has to take too many more of those.
Thompson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Trifu. That one must have hurt.
Thompson drops his hands momentarily and Trifu needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Thompson just on the top of the head. Thompson drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Thompson - he's done!
