Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Klice Moroon!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moroon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones misses the shot to the body.

Jones gets a clinch.
Moroon is trying to break free.
Jones manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Moroon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Moroon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jones wants to finish this one by submission but Moroon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Moroon.
Moroon scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moroon did well to prevent Jones getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jones looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Moroon is breathing heavily.

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moroon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Moroon's guard.

Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jones passes Moroon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jones moves nicely into side control.
Jones working the head with strikes.
Jones scores with punches from side control.
Moroon is being controlled here.
Brad Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moroon, who protects the arm well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones advances to full mount.
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Moroon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Moroon has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Jones dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moroon moves away.
Moroon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Moroon slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
A jab from Moroon finds it's way through Jones's defenses.
Moroon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Jones stands and steps away. Moroon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Moroon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jones throws a nice looking combination but Moroon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones content to stall in guard here.
Moroon is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.
Klice Moroon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Moroon can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brad Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
Jones controlling from side mount.

Jones tries for a kimura but Moroon is defending well.

Jones moves into full mount!
Jones in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Moroon is surviving well by controlling Jones's body position as best he can.
Brad Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee warns Moroon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brad Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
