The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malloway gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Malloway lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Malloway landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Malloway lands an elbow inside that Lyubenov shrugs off.
Lyubenov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Malloway.
Lyubenov is trying to break the clinch but Malloway is controlling him.
Malloway is trying to pull guard but Lyubenov has him pressed against the cage.
Lyubenov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Malloway just stands there and leans against the cage.
Malloway has clasped his hands together around Lyubenov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Lyubenov tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Malloway avoids the attempt from Lyubenov to control.

Lyubenov tries to lock up and control but Malloway gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Malloway sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Malloway throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lyubenov because Malloway loaded up on that one.
Malloway gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Malloway pushes Lyubenov up against the cage in a clinch.
Malloway is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lyubenov is defending well for now.

Malloway stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Lyubenov is working for takedown but Malloway is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lyubenov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Malloway smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rosen Lyubenov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malloway has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lyubenov is trying to break the clinch but Malloway has him pressed against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malloway jumps guard but Lyubenov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Malloway dives in and grabs Lyubenov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lyubenov pushes down on Malloway's head and hops out.
Malloway moves into the clinch.
Lyubenov misses with a punch to the body.
Lyubenov jumps into guard, dragging Malloway to the mat.
Malloway throwing strikes from guard but Lyubenov blocks nicely.

Lyubenov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Malloway tries to stand but Lyubenov is controlling from the bottom.
Malloway throws a big right hand that misses.
Lyubenov looking for a sweep. Not yet Lyubenov, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyubenov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Malloway is looking to advance position but Lyubenov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Malloway wants to hold on but Lyubenov pushes him away.
Malloway working to try and regain half guard.
Malloway is squirming around, avoiding Lyubenov's attempts to control the action.

Lyubenov looking for a guillotine from mount but Malloway is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lyubenov lands a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitry Malloway dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Malloway closes the distance and clinches up with Lyubenov, looking for a takedown. Malloway pushes Lyubenov against the cage but Lyubenov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lyubenov stuffs the takedown.
Lyubenov shoots for a double leg takedown but Malloway sprawls well. He's pushed Lyubenov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Malloway has closed the distance and engaged Lyubenov in a clinch.

Malloway has Lyubenov pushed against the cage.
Lyubenov successfully pulls guard.
Lyubenov wants to sweep here but Malloway controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malloway trying to control the position from guard on top but Lyubenov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Malloway got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lyubenov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Malloway has managed to get both his arms back between Lyubenov's legs - danger averted.

Malloway is looking to stand up but Lyubenov won't let him.
Lyubenov pushes a forearm under Malloway's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Malloway is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
