Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hoppus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Adenhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Adenhart is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Adenhart! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Adenhart. Adenhart connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Hoppus lands a head kick!
It looks like Nick Adenhart has been cut. A punch combination from Hoppus misses. Hoppus doesn't manage to clinch there - Adenhart circles away.
Adenhart fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hoppus sprawls well initially but Adenhart persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Adenhart thows a huge punch but Hoppus dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Adenhart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoppus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Adenhart landing a few strikes. Adenhart works to advance to full mount. Hoppus defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Adenhart lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
