Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Camel Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Camel Monkey has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Camel Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angel Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz throws a quick inside leg kick.
Monkey misses with a straight left.
Munoz tries to close the distance and clinch but Monkey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Monkey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Munoz checks a low kick from Monkey.
Munoz slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Monkey finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Munoz has his takedown stuffed

and Monkey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Munoz won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Munoz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Munoz tries to bench press Monkey off him but Monkey keeps the position.
Monkey lands a decent elbow from side control.
Monkey throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Monkey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Munoz is trying to control Monkey's posture but Monkey avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Munoz is trying to get back to half guard.

Munoz is trying to get back to his feet.
Monkey tries to move to mount but Munoz blocks the move with his legs.
Monkey controlling the position from side mount.
Monkey trying to control the action but Munoz is working from the bottom.
Monkey content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Munoz is looking for a sweep.

Monkey is looking to take a break and control but Munoz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Munoz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Monkey avoids it really well and circles away.
Monkey throws a lazy head kick
and Munoz counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Monkey is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Monkey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Munoz can't do much from the bottom here.
Monkey is putting a hurting on Munoz here, landing some big shots from side control.

Monkey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Monkey connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Munoz some visible discomfort.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Monkey trying to control the action but Munoz is working from the bottom.
Monkey lands an elbow.
Munoz can't do much from the bottom here.

Monkey grinds an elbow into Munoz's temple.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Munoz is trying to escape the position but Monkey is controlling the position.
Monkey advances to mount.
Monkey wants to control the pace but Munoz is squirming around nicely.
Monkey looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Monkey in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.


Munoz is rocked!
Monkey breaks from Munoz's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Munoz is still in real trouble! Can Monkey finish him?
Munoz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monkey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Monkey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Munoz looks winded!
Monkey postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Munoz badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Monkey around the waist but Monkey pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Monkey is the winner by TKO! Monkey jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Camel Monkey!
Camel Monkey decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
