Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Predir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chras Watsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chras Watsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Predir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chras Watsky! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Predir looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Watsky! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Predir won't let Watsky get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Watsky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Watsky sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Predir prevents Watsky from improving his position. Watsky won't allow Predir to pass to mount. Predir trying to control the pace. Watsky is trying to maintain the position but Predir is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Predir throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Watsky tries to roll over but Predir keeps him under control. Predir not landing any meaningful shots this time. Watsky looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Predir connects with a nice short shot to Watsky's temple. Watsky keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Watsky misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Predir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Watsky wants to control the action here but instead Predir manages to pass to full mount! Watsky is working to get back to half guard.
Predir looking to control but Watsky is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Watsky regains half guard. Predir wants to stand up but Watsky has a hold of him and won't allow it. Watsky trying to control but Predir postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Predir wants to free his trapped foot but Watsky is holding on for dear life with his legs. Watsky trying to control but Predir postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Watsky wants to improve his position but Predir is controlling well.
Predir thows a huge punch but Watsky dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Watsky gets full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Watsky keeping moving, preventing Predir from controlling successfully. Watsky can't keep his opponent in guard - Predir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Watsky is looking for a sweep. Predir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watsky trying to control but Predir postures up.
Predir throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Predir seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Predir thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Watsky's head. Watsky trying to hold on to Predir's head to control him but Predir postures up.
Watsky controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Predir lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Watsky keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Predir thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Predir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Watsky is just riding it out for now. Predir eventually gives up the hold. Predir prevents Watsky from standing back up.
Watsky kicks Predir off and gets back to his feet. Watsky misses with a wild combination.
Watsky scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watsky decides to stand up, so the ref orders Predir to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Watsky as Predir shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chras Watsky will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Watsky gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Predir loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Watsky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Predir is looking to improve his position.

Watsky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Watsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Predir has wrist control. Watsky scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Watsky distracts Predir with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Watsky is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Watsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Watsky's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Watsky trying to control but Predir is working from the bottom. Watsky decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Predir, up you get! Jason Predir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Predir shoots in but no luck this time. Watsky gets in close and instigates a clinch. Watsky breaks from the clinch.
Watsky scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Watsky.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Watsky!

Watsky is stalling here. Predir is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Watsky seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Predir has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Predir trying to control the position but Watsky is working away. Watsky throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Watsky looks to land a combination. Predir sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Watsky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Watsky tries to score a body lock takedown but Predir shows good agility there to stay on his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chras Watsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Watsky throws a head kick that misses. Watsky gets caught napping as Predir dives in and scores a takedown. Watsky manages to retain guard. Watsky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Predir defends it easily. Watsky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Predir's guard. Predir is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Watsky is controlling him. Watsky trying to control but Predir is working from the bottom. Predir is trying to keep Watsky in close.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Watsky stopping the sweep attempt from Predir.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watsky wants to control from the top but Predir keeps moving. Predir wants to stand and escape but Watsky is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Predir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Watsky paws at him with a jab and circles away. Watsky jabs at Predir's body. Watsky misses with a few strikes there.

Watsky rushes Predir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watsky tries to work over Predir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Predir throws a punch but it's blocked by Watsky. Watsky breaks the clinch.
Watsky gets a double leg takedown into Predir's guard. Watsky throws a big right hand that misses. Watsky loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Watsky decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Predir, up you get! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fight moves into the clinch position. Watsky leaning his opponent against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Predir misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Watsky.

Predir chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Watsky can pounce on him.
Predir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watsky as he avoids it easily. Predir gets caught flat footed, as Watsky shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Watsky distracts Predir with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Watsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Predir has wrist control. Chras Watsky is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Watsky is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chras Watsky wasn't active enough on the ground. Watsky throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
And that's the end of the fight! Chras Watsky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Watsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
