Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aadilou Ankutse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Dowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ankutse comes to the cage accompanied by i ka kane . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aadilou Ankutse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Dowe! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ankutse shoots in but no luck this time. Ankutse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dowe tries to avoid it but Ankutse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dowe to the ground. Dowe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ankutse bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Ankutse. Dowe does a little dance to reset his feet. Ankutse lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dowe misses with a straight right. Dowe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ankutse's head backwards. Ankutse ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dowe stuffs the takedown attempt from Ankutse. Ankutse gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aadilou Ankutse. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dowe stuffs the takedown attempt from Ankutse. Ankutse gets slowly back to his feet. Ankutse decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ankutse seems to be working for a kimura but Dowe defends the submission attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ankutse is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dowe defends it well. Dowe is looking to escape. Ankutse is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dowe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dowe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ankutse is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dowe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ankutse. Dowe actively working from the bottom here. Ankutse prevents Dowe from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ankutse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dowe is just riding it out for now. Ankutse eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dowe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dowe can do anything to dispel that myth. Dowe is trying to stand back up but Ankutse is controlling him

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ankutse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dowe sees it coming and defends easily. Dowe wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dowe tries to roll over but Ankutse keeps him under control. Dowe is trying to stand back up but Ankutse is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ankutse working the head and body with strikes. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ankutse lands a nice short elbow. Ankutse is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dowe looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ankutse has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dowe defend it? Ankutse steps over the head and cranks it - Dowe is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ankutse!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Aadilou Ankutse! A relieved looking Aadilou Ankutse thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
