Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Ronan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronan comes to the cage accompanied by Promised Land. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elvis Ronan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Meyers! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ronan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meyers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Meyers misses with a wild combination.
Meyers is looking to score with low kicks. Meyers shoots in looking for a takedown. Ronan tries to sprawl out of it but Meyers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ronan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Meyers is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ronan's half guard. Ronan trying to control but Meyers postures up.
Ronan is refusing to be controlled, as Meyers sits in half guard. Meyers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyers is trying to control. Ronan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Meyers looks to land a strike but Ronan avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Meyers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ronan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Meyers wants to control from the top but Ronan keeps moving. Ronan keeping full guard, as Meyers tries to pass. Meyers throwing strikes but missing. Meyers postures up in Ronan's guard and throws a big left but Ronan blocks it. Ronan keeping moving, preventing Meyers from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Meyers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Meyers throws a big right hand that misses. Meyers distracts Ronan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ronan pulls Meyers in close to prevent any damage. Meyers trying to control the position from guard on top but Ronan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meyers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ronan trying to control the position.
Ronan scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyers fails to land the takedown. Meyers lands a right hook to the body.

Ronan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Meyers under the eye. Elvis Ronan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ronan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Meyers.
Ronan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Elvis Ronan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ronan looks to score with a jab to the body but Meyers is just out of range. A right-left combo lands from Ronan. Meyers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Meyers misses with an uppercut. Meyers throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ronan. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Meyers slips under a jab from Ronan. Meyers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ronan throws out the jab. Meyers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ronan is fending him off so far but Meyers persists. Nope, Ronan circles away and we're back to standing. Elvis Ronan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Meyers. Ronan slips a jab and a cross from Meyers.

Meyers fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ronan to the ground. Meyers is now in Ronan's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Meyers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A telegraphed right hand from Ronan misses the target. Meyers ducks under a wild hook from Ronan. Ronan lands with a shot to the body. Sloppy strikes from Meyers. Those never looked like landing. Meyers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Ronan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ronan tests Meyers's chin there with a solid looking shot. Meyers shoots in but no luck this time. Meyers tries to score with a low kick but Ronan moves his leg out of the way. Ronan scores with a hook. Meyers scoring well with a low kick there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ronan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Meyers sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ronan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ronan blocks a head kick by Meyers.
Meyers moves out of range of the strikes. Meyers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ronan as he avoids it easily. Meyers slips under a jab from Ronan. Meyers gets a double leg takedown into Ronan's guard. Ronan wants to sweep here but Meyers controlling him for the moment. Meyers throws an elbow that misses. Ronan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Meyers's guard. Nice move by Ronan! Ronan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Meyers trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Ronan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ronan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ronan wants to stand but Meyers has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ronan preventing the sweep. Ronan controlling from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Meyers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ronan is aware though and is defending well. Meyers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ronan stands and steps away. Meyers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ronan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Meyers trying to control from Ronan's half guard. Ronan has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Meyers advances to half guard. Meyers wants to pass the guard but Ronan is defending well. That's one minute gone in the round. Meyers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Meyers is working for a submission of some sort.

Meyers controlling the pace. Meyers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Meyers wants to control from the top but Ronan keeps moving. Meyers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ronan is keeping the position for now. Meyers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Meyers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Meyers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
