Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Killer Benji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Kim! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benji fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Benji throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease. Benji misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Killer Benji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Benji pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kim back to the cage. Benji follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Benji ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benji swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kim gets a takedown into half guard. Kim not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kim stalling. Benji looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dan Kim has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Kim misses with a hook. Benji tries to bum rush Kim with a series of wild strikes but Kim uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kim throws a hook to the side of Benji's head but Benji sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Benji throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kim.

Benji rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kim moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Benji throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Killer Benji will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Benji tries to avoid it but Kim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benji to the ground. Benji escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Benji looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Benji.

Benji lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively. Benji fails to land with a series of punches.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Kim was stalling too much, according to the referee. Benji looks to land a combination but Kim avoids it well. Dan Kim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Benji sprawls well. Benji wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kim gets slowly back to his feet. Benji throws a series of strikes that have Kim backpedaling.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Killer Benji! After the fight, Killer Benji was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
