Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mark nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as mark nelson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Denis Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, mark nelson! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! nelson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. nelson is pulling down on Kang's head to control his posture. nelson wants to sweep but no luck. nelson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kang has passed into side control.
nelson is pushing Kang's head away, looking to escape. Kang manages to hold on to the position though. nelson prevents Kang from moving into mount. Kang fails to land a wild elbow strike.
nelson is looking for a sweep. Kang tries to move to full mount but nelson actually manages to regain half guard. Kang trying to control from half guard but nelson is working away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. nelson misses with an uppercut. Kang saw that one coming. nelson misses with a two punch combination.
Kang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kang has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for nelson! nelson is trying desperately to improve position. nelson regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Still in half guard, Kang seems content to control. nelson is refusing to be controlled, as Kang sits in half guard. Kang is taking a breather. nelson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. nelson looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. nelson wants to get back to his feet. nelson looks gassed! Kang stalling away here and it's allowed nelson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kang sitting in guard here, content to control. nelson tries to strike from the bottom.

nelson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. nelson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kang turns into him and now he's in nelson's guard.
nelson wants to sweep here but Kang controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Kang dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming nelson to the mat! nelson manages to get full guard. Kang wants to control from the top but nelson keeps moving. nelson striking off his back. Kang decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on nelson, up you get! nelson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kang counters with a left to the body. nelson misses with a takedown and Kang counters with a shoot takedown. nelson fights it but they end up in guard. nelson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang trying to control the position from guard on top but nelson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. nelson managing to control the position. Kang wants to control from the top but nelson keeps moving. Kang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. nelson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kang is one step ahead there. nelson controlling the position. Kang preventing the sweep.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. nelson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. nelson working a defensive guard but Kang manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's three minutes gone in the round. nelson wants to get back to his feet but Kang is dominant here and he's now got nelson's back! nelson tries to get back to half guard but can't. nelson tries to lock up and control but Kang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. nelson tries to reverse the position but Kang maintains control. nelson tries to hold on but Kang postures up. nelson can't escape the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. nelson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. nelson tries to lock up and control but Kang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. nelson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. nelson is looking to control Kang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can nelson avoid being mounted? nelson is trying is best to control the position here. nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. nelson is looking to escape. nelson is pressing down on Kang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Kang dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
nelson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kang tries to bench press nelson off him but nelson keeps the position. Kang is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kang is looking to get back to full guard here but nelson has managed to pass to side control instead. Kang tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kang is working hard here to advance position. nelson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kang wants to control but nelson is having none of it. nelson prevents Kang from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. nelson looking to control and managing it successfully. nelson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kang in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. nelson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kang is looking to escape. nelson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
nelson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kang turns into him and now he's in nelson's guard.
Kang loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Denis Kang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. nelson wants to stand but Kang is controlling the position. Kang trying to control the position from guard on top but nelson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as nelson holds on and takes a little breather. Kang wants to pass the guard but nelson is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now nelson is on top in guard.
mark nelson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! nelson lands a couple of decent looking shots. nelson scoring with punches to the head and body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kang avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. nelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and nelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kang working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from nelson.
And that's the end of the fight! mark nelson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
