Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Black Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stiff Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiff Bonnar has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Black Bush's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Black Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stiff Bonnar!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bush misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bush could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bonnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bush's guard.
Bonnar looking to pass the guard.

Bush looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bush looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bush has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bush keeping moving, preventing Bonnar from controlling successfully.

Bonnar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bush looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bush is breathing heavily.

Bush scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Bonnar forces Bush back against the cage and clinches.

Bush tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bonnar is trying to trip Bush. He has hold of a leg but Bush is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bonnar persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bonnar wants to control from the top but Bush keeps moving.
Bonnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bush has a closed guard, preventing Bonnar from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A close round but Stiff Bonnar will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bush is pressing down on Bonnar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Bonnar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bush isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bonnar stacks Bush on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bonnar!

Black Bush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bonnar darts in and clinches Bush up against the cage.

Bonnar drags the fight down to the ground.

Bush drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bush jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bonnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bonnar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bonnar showed some decent athleticism there.

Bush looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stiff Bonnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Bush looks to land a right hand but Bonnar moved out of range.
Bush with a poor takedown
and Bonnar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bush thinking.

Bush feints and as Bonnar raises his hands in defense, Bush changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bonnar is trying to control the position but Bush postures up.
Bush wants to control from the top but Bonnar keeps moving.
Bush wants to pass the guard but Bonnar is keeping the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bonnar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stiff Bonnar has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bonnar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bush postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bonnar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bush, into his guard.
Bonnar stays in close to Bush's body and controls the position.
Bonnar wants to stand but Bush has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Bush working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonnar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonnar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bonnar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bonnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Black Bush showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bonnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
