Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Coke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Coke!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a series of punches but Coke avoids them all with ease.
Coke misses with a series of wild punches.
Brown wants to clinch up but Coke keeps it at a distance.
Brown fails to land the takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Coke enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Coke manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Coke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Coke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Brown lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Brown wants to control from the top but Coke keeps moving.
Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coke works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Brown cracks Coke with a solid left hand.

Brown with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Brown passes Coke's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brown thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coke's head.

Brown is working for a kimura but Coke is defending it quite comfortably.

Coke thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Brown working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Coke's head.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position.
Coke misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coke is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Coke is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brown defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Brown's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Brown is trying to stand back up.

Coke is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brown defends well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Coke will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Coke moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Brown closes the distance and clinches.

Brown gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Brown looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Coke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Coke is trying to maintain the position but Brown is very close to passing his half guard.

Coke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brown pulls his head out easily.

Brown gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Coke, pushing him back against the cage.
Coke looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Brown gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Coke has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
Brown is working Coke over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Coke's legs - danger averted.

Coke is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Coke throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.
Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Coke but Coke pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jeff Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Coke displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.

Coke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Coke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Coke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.

Brown dives in and grabs Coke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coke pushes down on Brown's head and hops out.
Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Coke which made him look bad.

Coke shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense.
Coke throws a series of strikes that have Brown backpedaling.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown.
Coke scores with a one two! Brown had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Coke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Coke moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Coke works over Brown's head and body with a nice combination.
Coke stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

Jeff Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coke scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brown doesn't seem bothered though.
Coke throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.

Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coke is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Coke circles away and we're back to standing.

I think Coke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
