Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connor Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes to the cage accompanied by (When) Your Middle Name Is Danger. Lamotta has chosen yes as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Kelly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Lamotta! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kelly connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. An inside leg kick from Lamotta misses. A clash of legs there as Kelly blocks the low kick. Kelly rushes Lamotta and presses him up against the cage. Lamotta misses with some punches.
A bit of stalling here from Kelly.
Kelly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kelly taking a breather. Lamotta working aggressively here.

Lamotta moves out of range of the leg kick from Kelly. A jab from Lamotta does it's job there. Kelly blocks a jab. Lamotta lands a nice looking body shot.

Kelly staying out of range there. Lamotta fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kelly checks it well. Lamotta keeps the fight on the outside. Lamotta misses the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Kelly finds it's target. Kelly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lamotta. Kelly steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lamotta. Kelly thows a body shot but no joy. Kelly on the wrong end of a nice jab. Lamotta moves away from the strike by Kelly. Connor Kelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lamotta defending well as Kelly loads up on a big left hand. Kelly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lamotta on the side of the head. Kelly tried to score with a low kick but Lamotta checks it. Jake Lamotta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lamotta misses the shot to the body. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lamotta.
Lamotta misses with a hook. Kelly ducked under it nicely. Lamotta takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lamotta tries to clinch but Kelly moves out of range. Kelly scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly stuffs the takedown. Kelly lands with an uppercut that bounces Lamotta off the cage and back into range. Lamotta moves out of range of the strikes. Lamotta tries a head kick but it misses.

A slow jab from Lamotta misses its intended target. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kelly, right into the meat.
Kelly forces Lamotta back against the cage and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Connor Kelly will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Kelly takes the fight into the clinch. Lamotta is trying to pull guard but Kelly turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kelly scores with a shoulder strike. A short right from Kelly on the inside. Kelly digs a right hand into Lamotta's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lamotta's gas tank. A head punch on the inside from Lamotta fails to land. A short left from Lamotta. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kelly prevents Lamotta from breaking the clinch. Lamotta swings wildly with an uppercut but Kelly uses good head movement to avoid it. Kelly misses with some punches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kelly - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lamotta is working for takedown but Kelly is calmly controlling the position for now. Connor Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Lamotta.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lamotta softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lamotta tries to break the clinch but Kelly is controlling the position. Lamotta scores with a shoulder strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lamotta throws a punch but it's blocked by Kelly. Kelly is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Kelly tries a body shot but Lamotta blocks it.

Lamotta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kelly tries to clinch but Lamotta is having none of it. Lamotta takes one to the chin there. Lamotta decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kelly kicks Lamotta off and gets back to his feet. Lamotta throws a leg kick which misses Kelly's front leg but catches the back leg as Kelly tries to avoid it. Lamotta shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lamotta moves away. Lamotta takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lamotta fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kelly avoids it really well and circles away. Kelly with a jab. Lamotta takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly is looking to clinch. Kelly scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lamotta doesn't seem bothered though. Kelly throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lamotta. Kelly lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kelly misses with a two punch combination.
Kelly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lamotta manages to avoid it. Kelly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lamotta.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lamotta throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kelly counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kelly. Lamotta lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kelly backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Connor Kelly dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kelly moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Lamotta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kelly. Lamotta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kelly's waist but Kelly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lamotta off to one side. Lamotta scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Kelly. Lamotta shoots in looking for a takedown. Kelly tries to sprawl out of it but Lamotta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kelly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lamotta tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kelly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Lamotta throws a hook but Kelly blocks it. Kelly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lamotta. Lamotta paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lamotta swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lamotta connects with a crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly throws a low kick, looking for Lamotta's leg but Lamotta calmly moves out of range. Lamotta swats away the attempt to clinch by Kelly. Nice defenses there by Kelly. Kelly throws a series of strikes that have Lamotta backpedaling.
A big left from Lamotta misses. Kelly throws a leg kick but Lamotta sees it coming and moves out of range. Kelly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamotta. Kelly throws the left hand but Lamotta avoids the punch easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Kelly misses. Kelly clinches up against the cage. Lamotta has a couple of punches blocked by Kelly.
Kelly throws a head punch that misses. Kelly presses Lamotta against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lamotta blocking some punches.

Kelly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kelly. A right hand to the body from Kelly.
Lamotta gets control of Kelly's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lamotta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lamotta is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Lamotta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kelly throws a strike but Lamotta rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kelly holds on and takes a little breather. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Connor Kelly just wasn't active enough. Kelly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamotta. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Connor Kelly did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. That's time! Back to the action!

Lamotta misses with an uppercut. Kelly saw that one coming. The fight stays on the outside here - Lamotta looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lamotta walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kelly wants to clinch. That's going to slow Kelly down. Kelly misses the shot to the body.
