The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sedfenor moves forwards but Schmitt connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Schmitt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sedfenor doesn't seem bothered though.
Schmitt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Schmitt lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sedfenor is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Schmitt rolls with it to try and escape but Sedfenor cranks on the arm and Schmitt is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
