Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Korczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Zenkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lukasz Korczynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brutus Zenkowski! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Korczynski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zenkowski is fending him off so far but Korczynski persists. Nope, Zenkowski circles away and we're back to standing. Zenkowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Korczynski manages to avoid it. Korczynski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zenkowski to the mat! Zenkowski manages to get full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Korczynski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zenkowski is keeping the position for now. Zenkowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Korczynski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Korczynski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Korczynski wants to control from the top but Zenkowski keeps moving. Korczynski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zenkowski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zenkowski is looking to stand up but Korczynski isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zenkowski keeping full guard, as Korczynski tries to pass. Zenkowski keeping moving, preventing Korczynski from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zenkowski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Korczynski is controlling him. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lukasz Korczynski. Zenkowski misses with a combination
and Korczynski counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Korczynski is looking for a kimura here.
Korczynski wants to work for an arm triangle but Zenkowski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Korczynski is keen to just control but Zenkowski is a slippery customer. Korczynski seems to be working for a kimura but Zenkowski defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Korczynski trying to mount his opponent but Zenkowski defends it. Zenkowski is trying to stand up here but Korczynski is controlling him well. Korczynski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Korczynski seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zenkowski is staying active underneath Korczynski, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Korczynski stops Zenkowski from getting back to his feet.
Zenkowski is refusing to be controlled, as Korczynski sits in half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Zenkowski tries to kick Korczynski off but Korczynski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Korczynski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Korczynski is trying to control the action in half guard but Zenkowski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Korczynski passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zenkowski! Zenkowski really wants to buck Korczynski off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Korczynski looking for a guillotine from mount but Zenkowski is having none of it. Korczynski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zenkowski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zenkowski shrugs it off. Korczynski working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Zenkowski turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Korczynski off and cradles Zenkowski's limp body as Korczynski celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lukasz Korczynski!
