The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Downer gets caught napping as Skjeggestad dives in and scores a takedown. Downer manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Skjeggestad is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Downer defends it well.

Skjeggestad is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Skjeggestad swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Downer is now in Skjeggestad's guard. A big mistake from Skjeggestad there, giving up the dominant position!
