Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Zhang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mao Zedong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mao Zedong has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vincent Zhang's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhang attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Zhang is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Mao Zedong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zedong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zhang as he avoids it easily.

Zedong shoots for a double leg takedown but Zhang sprawls well. He's pushed Zedong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zhang looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Zedong closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zhang to the mat! Zhang manages to get full guard.

Zedong gets to mount! Zhang was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Zhang is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Zedong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Zedong tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zhang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zedong somewhat.
Zhang looks to score with a jab to the body but Zedong is just out of range.
Zedong drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Vincent Zhang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Zedong is looking to clinch but Zhang is avoiding it.
Zhang clinches.

Zedong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zhang walks away with a smile on his face. Zedong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Zhang shoots in for a double leg but Zedong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Zedong doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zhang makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Zhang falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zedong counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zedong moves nicely into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zhang is working hard here to advance position.

Zedong lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Zedong advances nicely into full mount.

Zhang reaches up to try and control the position but Zedong seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Zhang rolls and tries to escape and now Zedong has his back!
Zhang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zedong on the ground.

Zedong keeps control of the position easily here as Zhang tries to buck him off.
Zhang is taking damage to the body and head.
Zedong controlling well, preventing Zhang from escaping the position.
Zedong working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Zhang is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Zedong has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Zhang taps out!
