8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy James! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Jimmy James has been cut. Phillips is looking to clinch. James takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phillips as he avoids it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Phillips stopping the sweep attempt from James. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Phillips content just to control the position here.
