Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hulk Hogan!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez throws a head kick but Hogan moves out of range.
Sanchez slips a straight right by Hogan.
Hogan blocks a head kick by Sanchez.
Sanchez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hogan.
Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez blocks a jab.
Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Hogan moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hogan enables Sanchez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hogan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.
Hogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Hogan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hogan manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Hogan's guard.
Hogan is looking to stand up but Sanchez isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogan keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Hogan is keeping the position.

Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hogan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hogan wants to stand but Sanchez is controlling the position.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.
Hogan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez stopping the sweep attempt from Hogan.
Sanchez trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hogan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away.
Hogan ducks right into an uppercut from Sanchez.
Sanchez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hogan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sanchez.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hogan misses with a hook.
Hogan throws a hook to the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice shot by Hogan.
Sanchez staying out of range there.
Sanchez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hogan if he has to take too many more of those.
Sanchez throws a head kick that misses.
Sanchez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hogan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hogan throws the left hand but Sanchez avoids the punch easily.
Sanchez throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Hogan looks winded!
Sanchez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hogan's hands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hogan misses with a straight right.
Sanchez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sanchez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Sanchez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hogan's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez is trying for a kimura here. Hogan looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sanchez wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Juan Sanchez!
Juan Sanchez got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
