Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Payden McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago DeJesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee comes to the cage accompanied by Voodoo. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Payden McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thiago DeJesus! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A head kick by DeJesus misses and McGee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McGee. DeJesus pulls McGee in to control the position. DeJesus keeping moving, preventing McGee from controlling successfully. DeJesus is pulling down on McGee's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeJesus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McGee! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeJesus unloads with some shots from mount but McGee bucks and avoids them well.
DeJesus looking to land elbow strikes but McGee uses the position to regain half guard. DeJesus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. DeJesus keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeJesus missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. DeJesus misses with a head shot. McGee uses the momentum to regain guard. McGee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and DeJesus defends well. DeJesus is looking to work some ground and pound but McGee has wrist control. McGee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. DeJesus trying to control but McGee is working from the bottom. DeJesus tries to free his leg and advance position but McGee is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeJesus's corner is telling him to maintain position. DeJesus's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Thiago DeJesus has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McGee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DeJesus but DeJesus pushes him off and we're back to square one. DeJesus scores with a three punch combo!
DeJesus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGee pinned against the cage. McGee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McGee fails in his attempt to clinch. McGee is looking to take this fight into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! McGee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeJesus. DeJesus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee tries to clinch but DeJesus moves out of range. DeJesus closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGee circles away. DeJesus has closed the distance and engaged McGee in a clinch.

Payden McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago DeJesus. DeJesus jumps guard but McGee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. DeJesus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McGee is defending well. DeJesus looks winded! McGee jumps guard but DeJesus stands there with McGee around his waist. McGee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

DeJesus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGee gets the underhooks and prevents it.

This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. DeJesus manages to break the clinch.
McGee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. DeJesus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago DeJesus dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
DeJesus throws a nice looking combination but McGee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. DeJesus tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice takedown defense from DeJesus. No joy for McGee on that attempt. DeJesus pivots, looking for a leg kick but McGee is out of range and DeJesus settles back down. DeJesus tries for a takedown but McGee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. DeJesus tries to clinch but McGee moves out of range. McGee tries to clinch there but DeJesus circles away.

McGee has DeJesus pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. DeJesus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. DeJesus breaks from the clinch.
DeJesus fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGee to the ground. DeJesus is now in McGee's guard. DeJesus with a flurry of punches that miss. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeJesus looking to control the position here, rather than advance. McGee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeJesus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeJesus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. DeJesus controlling from the top position. DeJesus preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeJesus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeJesus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. DeJesus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McGee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Payden McGee. That's going to take a lot out of him. McGee keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeJesus goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. McGee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. DeJesus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGee as he jumps to the side. McGee is trying hard to land a takedown here. DeJesus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. DeJesus breaks the clinch.
DeJesus throws a head kick that misses. DeJesus tries to clinch up. Sloppy strikes from DeJesus. Those never looked like landing. DeJesus dodges the punch combination from McGee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before DeJesus can pounce on him.
DeJesus shoots in looking for a takedown. McGee tries to sprawl out of it but DeJesus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. DeJesus fails with the takedown. Thiago DeJesus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGee has taken the fight to the clinch.
McGee blocks an elbow strike. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McGee being controlled against the cage. McGee trying to stall but DeJesus improves his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago DeJesus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Horrible takedown by McGee or perhaps it was just good defense by DeJesus which made him look bad. DeJesus tries to clinch but McGee is having none of it. DeJesus misses with a head kick.

Payden McGee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. DeJesus misses with a takedown attempt and McGee counters with a straight right hand. McGee throws a nice outside leg kick. McGee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. DeJesus manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McGee trying to control but DeJesus is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. DeJesus looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McGee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. McGee is trying to control. DeJesus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We're going to have a standup here because Payden McGee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. DeJesus shoots in for a double leg but McGee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Thiago DeJesus is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McGee throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Payden McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago DeJesus. McGee manages to break the clinch.
McGee scores with a shot to the body.
McGee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. McGee has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of DeJesus is proving hard to escape from. McGee looking to pass the guard. McGee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. DeJesus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGee's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee wants to sweep but no luck. DeJesus gets to his feet - McGee follows without any prompting. McGee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. DeJesus throws a head kick but McGee moves out of range.
DeJesus throws a leg kick and McGee counters with a three punch combo that has DeJesus backing up. DeJesus nods at McGee to acknowledge the strikes. McGee avoids the head kick by DeJesus.
A head kick by DeJesus misses and McGee counters by moving into the clinch. McGee goes for a takedown attempt but DeJesus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
DeJesus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeJesus throws a head kick that misses. DeJesus shoots in for a double leg but McGee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. McGee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. DeJesus prevents McGee from moving into mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McGee taking a break here but DeJesus is having none of it and regains half guard. McGee wants to control but DeJesus is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Payden McGee showed his dominance in that final round. I think DeJesus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
