Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Nogueira Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Truck comes to the cage accompanied by Knockin Heads Off . The crowd seem to be enjoying Nogueira Jr's choice of entrance music: Just Close Your Eyes-Story of the Year. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira Jr takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Truck has Nogueira Jr pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Truck pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nogueira Jr tumbling to the mat - Truck dives into Nogueira Jr's guard.

Truck gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Nogueira Jr has his foot on Truck 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Truck works his way back into a safe position though.

Truck drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nogueira Jr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Truck has Nogueira Jr in his guard.

Truck has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nogueira Jr is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Truck .

Nogueira Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Truck throws a head kick but Nogueira Jr moves out of range.
Truck shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nogueira Jr pinned against the cage. Nogueira Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Truck feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
