Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Charleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arnold Wright!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charleton gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Lee Charleton has been cut.
Charleton dives in and grabs Wright's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wright pushes down on Charleton's head and hops out.
Wright connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Charleton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wright paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wright stuffs the takedown.
Charleton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wright tries to avoid it but Charleton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wright to the ground. Wright escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Charleton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wright connects with a single shot there.
Wright scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut there from Wright.
Charleton throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Charleton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Charleton has his takedown stuffed
and Wright counters with a left and a right that stings Charleton.
Wright feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Charleton sprawling to the canvas! Charleton rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wright finish him?!
Charleton is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Charleton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oh Charleton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Charleton is breathing heavily.
Wright drops Charleton with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Charleton! Wright dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arnold Wright!
