Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flavio Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Reinhardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Reinhardt!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reinhardt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sandoval was covering up waiting for the punch and Reinhardt finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sandoval is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reinhardt defends well.
Sandoval tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Reinhardt throwing strikes but missing.
Reinhardt wants to control from the top but Sandoval keeps moving.
Reinhardt throws a big elbow that misses.
Sandoval keeping moving, preventing Reinhardt from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Victor Reinhardt was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Reinhardt will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Reinhardt. Sandoval does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sandoval throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Reinhardt takes a swing at Sandoval's ribcage but misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Reinhardt.
Sandoval throws a leg kick but Reinhardt sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Reinhardt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sandoval. Sandoval circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Flavio Sandoval is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sandoval swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Reinhardt shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Reinhardt feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sandoval's calf.

and Reinhardt counters with a straight right hand.
Sandoval lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fighters circling - Reinhardt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reinhardt throws a front kick aimed at Sandoval's knee but Sandoval avoids it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sandoval throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Reinhardt darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sandoval moves forwards but Reinhardt connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Reinhardt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sandoval misses with an uppercut.
Reinhardt throws a nice inside leg kick.

Reinhardt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Reinhardt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sandoval knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sandoval wants to sweep but Reinhardt has passed to side control!
Sandoval takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Reinhardt trying to control the position but Sandoval is working away.
Reinhardt lands a decent elbow from side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sandoval tries to buck Reinhardt off but Reinhardt is having none of it.

Reinhardt is trying to get an arm triangle but Sandoval is defending well.
Sandoval wants to control but Reinhardt postures up.
Sandoval tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sandoval on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reinhardt is chipping away with strikes.
Reinhardt trying to control the action but Sandoval is working from the bottom.
Reinhardt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Reinhardt dominated that round.
That's time! Sandoval's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reinhardt.
Reinhardt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Reinhardt misses with a wild body shot.
Reinhardt shoots for a double leg takedown but Sandoval sprawls well. He's pushed Reinhardt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sandoval avoids the body shot from Reinhardt.
Sandoval moves out of range of the body kick from Reinhardt.

Reinhardt takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

enabling Reinhardt to counter with a crisp jab.

Reinhardt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sandoval is trying to defend but Reinhardt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Reinhardt uses his free foot to push down on Sandoval's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sandoval.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reinhardt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sandoval regains half guard there - taking advantage of Reinhardt's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Reinhardt looking for a submission but Sandoval manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Sandoval is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Sandoval is looking to take a break and control but Reinhardt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Reinhardt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sandoval's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sandoval's back!
Sandoval is trying to remain composed but Reinhardt is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Victor Reinhardt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Reinhardt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sandoval looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sandoval ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Reinhardt fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sandoval takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That kick from Reinhardt tenderised Sandoval's leg. Sandoval is trying to keep his angry face on.

Sandoval avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Reinhardt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sandoval lands a nice hook to Reinhardt's body. Reinhardt takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Reinhardt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sandoval to the mat! Sandoval manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sandoval is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Reinhardt is in close to Sandoval's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Sandoval throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reinhardt escapes and throws Sandoval's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sandoval manages to work his way to half guard, despite Reinhardt's best efforts.
Flavio Sandoval has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Reinhardt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sandoval with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Reinhardt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Reinhardt lands a nice short elbow.

Sandoval is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Reinhardt jumps into side control!
Sandoval holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Sandoval gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sandoval has hold of Reinhardt's hands but Reinhardt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sandoval is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Still in half guard, Reinhardt seems content to control.

Sandoval is not content to let Reinhardt control the position.

Sandoval slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Reinhardt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sandoval works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reinhardt postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sandoval working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reinhardt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reinhardt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reinhardt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sandoval has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reinhardt has managed to get both his arms back between Sandoval's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Victor Reinhardt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reinhardt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
