Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyov Kirijenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agaton Piaskun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Lyov Kirijenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Agaton Piaskun! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirijenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Piaskun sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Piaskun's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kirijenko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Piaskun scrambles back to his feet. That kick from Kirijenko tenderised Piaskun's leg. Piaskun is trying to keep his angry face on. Piaskun slips under a jab. Kirijenko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Piaskun leaves Kirijenko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kirijenko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Piaskun manages to avoid it. Piaskun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kirijenko getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kirijenko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kirijenko prevents Piaskun from improving his position. Piaskun pushes Kirijenko off and gets back to his feet. Nice straight punches there by Kirijenko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kirijenko.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirijenko checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Piaskun blocks a jab. Kirijenko throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kirijenko lands with a hook. Piaskun tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kirijenko swings for the body but Piaskun moves out of range.
Kirijenko connects with a right hand. Piaskun shakes it off. A slow jab from Piaskun misses its intended target. Piaskun bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kirijenko paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kirijenko misses with an uppercut. Piaskun saw that one coming. Piaskun fails with a takedown attempt. Kirijenko tries to score with a low kick but Piaskun moves his leg out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko misses with a right hand and Piaskun counters with a slapping leg kick. Piaskun throws the kick towards the body but Kirijenko avoids it. Piaskun misses with a low kick. Kirijenko blocks a leg kick. Kirijenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Piaskun is fending him off so far but Kirijenko persists. Nope, Piaskun circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyov Kirijenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A good leg kick by Piaskun. Kirijenko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Piaskun changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kirijenko tries to avoid it but Piaskun manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kirijenko to the ground. Kirijenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kirijenko misses with a hook. Kirijenko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Piaskun tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kirijenko is in Piaskun's guard. Piaskun tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kirijenko with a nice head shot there. Kirijenko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kirijenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko throws an elbow that misses. Piaskun uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kirijenko's guard. Nice move by Piaskun! Piaskun must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kirijenko working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Piaskun has passed into half guard!
Kirijenko tries to get to full guard but Piaskun has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirijenko is trying to control but Piaskun passes into side control!
Piaskun controls the position. Piaskun is looking to take a break and control but Kirijenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Piaskun controlling the position. Kirijenko is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko is not content to let Piaskun control the position. Piaskun lands an elbow. Kirijenko tries to buck Piaskun off but Piaskun is having none of it. Piaskun looking to control but instead Kirijenko has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Piaskun is looking to advance position but Kirijenko won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kirijenko is trying to maintain the position but Piaskun is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lyov Kirijenko will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kirijenko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kirijenko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Piaskun. Kirijenko looks to land a right hand but Piaskun moved out of range. Piaskun slips a jab from Kirijenko. Kirijenko cracks Piaskun with an open hand slap. A punch combination from Kirijenko misses. Piaskun wants to slow Kirijenko down by chopping away at his legs. Piaskun keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
No luck for Piaskun with that takedown attempt. Piaskun checks a leg kick nicely. A telegraphed right hand from Kirijenko misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piaskun walks into a stiff left hand from Kirijenko. Kirijenko misses with a body kick. Piaskun throws out a leg kick but Kirijenko moves out of range and Piaskun only half commits. Kirijenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kirijenko wants it to stay on the feet. Kirijenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Piaskun moves away. Kirijenko thuds a left hand into Piaskun's body. Kirijenko thuds a left hand into Piaskun's body. Kirijenko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kirijenko throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Piaskun won't allow Kirijenko to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piaskun trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Piaskun trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirijenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kirijenko throws his legs up looking for a submission but Piaskun uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Piaskun tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kirijenko's legs. Kirijenko is not content to let Piaskun control the position. Piaskun looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kirijenko is pushing Piaskun's head away, looking to escape. Piaskun manages to hold on to the position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Kirijenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Piaskun wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kirijenko tries to strike but it doesn't land. Agaton Piaskun has got the better of the ground game so far. Piaskun moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Piaskun trying to control the action but Kirijenko is working from the bottom. Kirijenko is trying to control Piaskun's posture but Piaskun avoids it. Piaskun scoring with punches from side control. Piaskun advances to full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Piaskun is working for a kimura but Kirijenko is defending it quite comfortably.
Kirijenko is looking for a sweep. Piaskun is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kirijenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Piaskun content to control rather than advance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Piaskun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirijenko keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Piaskun trying to control the pace. Kirijenko is in trouble now - Piaskun has advanced to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Agaton Piaskun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Piaskun gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kirijenko throwing strikes from guard but Piaskun blocks nicely. Piaskun wants to get back to his feet but Kirijenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Piaskun looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kirijenko advances position into side control! Kirijenko working away. Piaskun manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kirijenko is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Piaskun!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirijenko wants to control the pace but Piaskun is squirming around nicely. Piaskun tries to hold on but Kirijenko pushes him away. Kirijenko looking to control but Piaskun is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Piaskun tries to lock up and control but Kirijenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Piaskun tries to reverse the position but Kirijenko maintains control. Kirijenko landing strikes from the mount. Piaskun tries to get back to half guard but can't. Piaskun bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Piaskun escapes and throws Kirijenko's legs to the side, diving into side control! Kirijenko tries to buck Piaskun off but Piaskun is having none of it. Kirijenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Piaskun's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Piaskun sitting and controlling from the half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kirijenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Piaskun is working away from the top position though. Kirijenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirijenko is looking to control Piaskun's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirijenko avoid being mounted? Piaskun working the head and body with strikes. Piaskun throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Piaskun takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Piaskun trying to control from half guard but Kirijenko is working away. Kirijenko is looking for a sweep. Piaskun is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kirijenko tries to roll over but Piaskun keeps him under control. Kirijenko moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kirijenko keeping moving, preventing Piaskun from controlling successfully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kirijenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Piaskun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Piaskun wants to control from the top but Kirijenko keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lyov Kirijenko. I think Kirijenko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
