Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spray Norte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Koff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spray Norte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Koff! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Norte's guard. Norte wants to sweep here but Koff controlling him for the moment. Koff looking to sit in guard and control but Norte gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Koff looking for a sweep. Not yet Koff, not yet. Norte slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Koff is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Koff is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Norte off and has taken his back! Koff patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Koff loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Norte hold on?

Koff is throwing shots to the body but Norte manages to wriggle free. Koff pounces on him again and ends up in Norte's guard. Norte throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norte is trying to control the position but Koff postures up. Koff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Norte swivels though and keeps the full guard. Koff stands and throws Norte's legs to the side, diving into side control. Check out the look on Koff's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Koff working Norte over with strikes. Norte looking for submissions off his back. Koff not landing any meaningful shots this time. Koff thows a huge punch but Norte dodges it nicely.
Norte avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Koff. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Norte misses with a takedown attempt - Koff sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Norte wants to clinch up but Koff keeps it at a distance. Mike Koff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koff swats away the attempt to clinch by Norte. Norte misses with a takedown and Koff counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norte avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Koff's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Koff trying to control the position from guard on top but Norte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Koff trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Norte throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Mike Koff dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Koff shoots for a takedown but Norte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Norte shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Norte tries to clinch but Koff is having none of it. Norte gets caught flat footed, as Koff shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Koff drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Norte dives on top into guard. Norte slips nicely into half guard. Koff is looking to get back to full guard here but Norte has managed to pass to side control instead. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koff can do anything to dispel that myth. Koff bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koff throws a strike but Norte rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Norte trying to control the position from guard on top but Koff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mike Koff has got the better of the ground game so far. Norte is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Koff keeping full guard, as Norte tries to pass. Koff wants to sweep but no luck. Koff looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Norte puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Koff tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Koff darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Koff trying to advance position but Norte counters by regaining guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koff tries to free his leg and advance position but Norte is retaining full guard. Norte has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Koff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Koff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Norte is keeping the position for now. Koff with a flurry of punches that miss. Koff throws a strike but Norte rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Koff has a closed guard, preventing Norte from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Koff is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Norte drops back looking for a leg! Koff is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Koff manages to kick Norte off! Norte jumps back into Koff's guard. Norte wants to control from the top but Koff keeps moving. Norte is really struggling to control Koff but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Koff scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Koff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Norte gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Koff counters with a shoot takedown. Norte fights it but they end up in guard. Koff trying to control the position from guard on top but Norte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Koff working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Norte throws his legs up looking for a submission but Koff uses it to pass to side control.
Koff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Norte keeps working. Koff lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koff lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Norte is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Koff off and has taken his back! Koff defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Norte's arms. Koff breaks Norte's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Koff passes Norte's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Koff not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koff missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Norte is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koff's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koff's back! Norte is trying to stick to Koff's back but Koff is turning into Norte. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Norte's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Koff.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koff stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Norte throws up his legs and catches Koff in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Koff tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Norte! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Spray Norte!
