Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Di Monte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthias Koalss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leo Di Monte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matthias Koalss! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Di Monte rushes Koalss and presses him up against the cage. Koalss jumps into guard, dragging Di Monte to the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Koalss looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Koalss pushes Di Monte off and scrambles back to his feet.
Leo Di Monte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Di Monte misses with a wild combination.
Koalss has a takedown stuffed. Koalss darts in and clinches Di Monte up against the cage. Di Monte stalling in the clinch but Koalss improves position. Di Monte throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Di Monte is trying to force a seperation but Koalss has the dominant position. Di Monte landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Koalss changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Di Monte fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Di Monte tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koalss swivels and escapes. Koalss throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Di Monte's waist but Di Monte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koalss off to one side. Leo Di Monte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthias Koalss. Di Monte clinches up against the cage. Di Monte has Koalss pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Koalss manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Koalss lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Di Monte digs a right hand into Koalss's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Koalss's gas tank. Koalss letting Di Monte take a breather here. Di Monte gets underhooks to prevent Koalss's takedown attempt.

Koalss has Di Monte pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Koalss pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Di Monte tumbling to the mat - Koalss dives into Di Monte's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koalss prevents Di Monte from getting back to his feet. Koalss throwing strikes from guard but Di Monte blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koalss missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Koalss with a nice head shot there. Koalss working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Koalss prevents Di Monte from getting back to his feet. Koalss gets to his feet - Di Monte follows without any prompting. Koalss looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Koalss fails to land the takedown. Di Monte misses with a takedown attempt - Koalss sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Di Monte has Koalss up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knees to the body from Koalss.
Koalss utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Koalss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Di Monte just stands there and leans against the cage. Di Monte fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Di Monte drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Di Monte misses with a hook to the ribs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koalss with a knee to the head.
Di Monte has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Koalss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Koalss tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Matthias Koalss will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Koalss instigates a clinch. Koalss wants to break free but Di Monte has control.
Di Monte is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Koalss jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Di Monte walks away with a smile on his face. Koalss gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Di Monte has managed to clinch.
Koalss goes for a takedown attempt but Di Monte pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Koalss has his takedown stuffed and Di Monte counters with a nice uppercut. Leo Di Monte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthias Koalss. Di Monte takes the fight into the clinch. Koalss is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Di Monte is defending well for now. Koalss tries to pull guard but Di Monte forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Koalss is breathing heavily. Koalss jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koalss is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Di Monte is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koalss working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Di Monte. Di Monte has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Koalss keeping full guard, as Di Monte tries to pass. Di Monte is looking to stand up but Koalss won't let him. Koalss trying to control the position.
Koalss has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Di Monte off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Di Monte darts in and clinches Koalss up against the cage. Di Monte breaks from the clinch.

Di Monte is leaning against Koalss and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Di Monte digs a right hand into Koalss's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Koalss's gas tank. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Di Monte lands with a short punch from the clinch.

A combination from Di Monte does no damage. Di Monte gets a clinch. Koalss working hard to break the clinch. Koalss wants a takedown.
Di Monte breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Di Monte closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Di Monte lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Di Monte has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Koalss is proving hard to escape from. Di Monte throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koalss manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Di Monte fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Koalss avoids it really well and circles away. Koalss shoots in but Di Monte avoids the takedown attempt easily. Di Monte has Koalss up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Di Monte managing to block the knees to the body from Koalss.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Koalss goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Koalss jumps guard but Di Monte turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Di Monte working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Di Monte lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Matthias Koalss has been cut. Di Monte lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Di Monte makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Di Monte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koalss avoids the body shot from Di Monte.
Di Monte throws a combination that misses and Koalss counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Di Monte wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Di Monte dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Matthias Koalss's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Koalss fails with a takedown attempt. Di Monte gets a clinch. Koalss is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Di Monte to keep the fight standing. Di Monte gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Koalss.
Leo Di Monte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthias Koalss. Koalss tries for a takedown. No joy.

Koalss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Koalss looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Di Monte lands a body punch in the clinch. Koalss gets underhooks to prevent Di Monte's takedown attempt.

Di Monte prevents Koalss from breaking the clinch. A short right from Di Monte. Di Monte presses Koalss against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Di Monte breaks the clinch.
Di Monte feints and as Koalss raises his hands in defense, Di Monte changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Di Monte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koalss on the ground. Di Monte won't allow Koalss to sweep him here. Matthias Koalss has got the better of the ground game so far. Di Monte tries to stand but Koalss is controlling from the bottom. Di Monte gets to his feet. Koalss looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koalss takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Koalss darts in and clinches Di Monte up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Di Monte managing to block the knees to the body from Koalss.
Di Monte is trying to maintain a safe position but Koalss gets an underhook and turns Di Monte into the cage. Di Monte tries a body shot but Koalss blocks it.
Koalss is looking to break free of the clinch but Di Monte has double underhooks. Di Monte can't get the takedown.
Koalss gets control of Di Monte's arms and successfully pulls guard. Koalss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koalss is on top in guard.
Koalss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koalss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Di Monte moves into the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Koalss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Di Monte swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Koalss. Di Monte rushes Koalss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Koalss tries for a takedown. No joy.

Koalss decides to pull guard. Di Monte would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Koalss not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Di Monte being controlled here momentarily. Di Monte got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koalss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Di Monte has managed to get both his arms back between Koalss's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leo Di Monte. I think Di Monte has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
