Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bj Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maxwell Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bj Cole! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander looks for the body kick but Cole saw that one coming. Alexander throws a low kick, looking for Cole's leg but Cole calmly moves out of range. Alexander is looking to clinch. Alexander shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cole sprawls well. Cole wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet. A punch lands to the side of Cole 's head but he takes it in his stride. Cole is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alexander. Alexander lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck for Alexander with that takedown attempt. Cole throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Cole as Alexander shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cole fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alexander to the ground. Cole is now in Alexander's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cole prevents Alexander from getting back to his feet. Cole is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole throwing strikes from guard but Alexander blocks nicely. Alexander is looking to stand up but Cole isn't so interested in that idea. Cole seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bj Cole has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Alexander misses with a takedown attempt and Cole counters by moving into the clinch. Cole jumps guard.
Alexander postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cole is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alexander, into his guard. Alexander is breathing heavily. Cole connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Cole decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Alexander, up you get! Excellent takedown into side control there by Cole. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A lull in the action here. Alexander really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Alexander is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Cole politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cole prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bj Cole was stalling too much, according to the referee. Cole shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Alexander with a lazy takedown attempt and Cole counters by moving into the clinch. Cole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alexander dives in and grabs Cole's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes down on Alexander's head and hops out. Maxwell Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cole bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Alexander is letting Cole control him for a moment. Cole decides to stand back up. Cole steps back and let's Alexander get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alexander misses with a takedown and Cole counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alexander's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bj Cole dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Alexander with a poor takedown and Cole counters with a series of strikes. Alexander will be more careful next time no doubt. Alexander doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cole counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cole. Cole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexander swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bj Cole has got the better of the ground game so far. Cole advances position into side control! Cole is trying to move to mount but Alexander reverses beautifully and ends up in Cole's guard. Alexander stops Cole from standing up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cole can do anything to dispel that myth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander looking to pass the guard. Cole looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Alexander wants to get up but he can't break Cole's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Alexander is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cole is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cole has escaped and now he's on top! Cole is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Cole pushes Alexander up against the cage in a clinch. Alexander tries to pull guard but Cole holds him up against the cage and eventually Alexander drops back down to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cole stays in close to Alexander's body and controls the position. Cole stands up and waves to Alexander to follow him. A head kick misses from Cole. Cole looks to land a combination. Alexander sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Alexander misses with a takedown and Cole decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alexander's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cole sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alexander's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole passes to full mount! Cole content just to control the position here. Alexander is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cole dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bj Cole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Alexander goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Cole tries to land a leg kick but Alexander saw it coming and moves away.
Cole shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cole is looking for a kimura here.
Cole stalling away here and it's allowed Alexander to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cole is controlling him. Cole stands up and waves to Alexander to follow him. Cole rushes Alexander and presses him up against the cage. Cole keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Alexander's efforts to push away. Alexander is trying to pull guard but Cole turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alexander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cole is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Alexander can't fight it off and eventually Cole manages to take the fight to the floor. Alexander looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cole pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alexander is keeping the position for now. Cole sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cole prevents Alexander from getting back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander wants to get back to his feet but Cole passes into half guard.
Cole keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Cole is nestled in close to Alexander, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cole controlling the action here. Maxwell Alexander has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bj Cole was stalling too much, according to the referee. Alexander wants to clinch. Cole shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alexander but Alexander pushes him off and we're back to square one. Alexander keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bj Cole is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Maxwell Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bj Cole. Alexander slaps away a takedown attempt from Cole, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Bj Cole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cole winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
