Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Myles Makdessi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen Bring Me Down (Swollen Mix Feat. Saigon) as his entrance music. Tyler Liddell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Myles Makdessi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Liddell! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makdessi dives in and grabs Liddell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Liddell pushes down on Makdessi's head and hops out. Liddell fails with a takedown attempt. Makdessi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Liddell is looking to stand up but Makdessi isn't so interested in that idea. Makdessi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Makdessi trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Makdessi pushes down on Liddell's leg and manages to get into half guard. Makdessi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makdessi trying to control from Liddell's half guard. Liddell has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Makdessi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Makdessi won't allow Liddell to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makdessi throwing strikes from guard but Liddell blocks nicely. Makdessi wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving. Liddell is looking to stand up but Makdessi isn't so interested in that idea. Makdessi forces his way into half guard. Liddell is trying to escape back to his feet but Makdessi uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makdessi scoring with punches from side control. Makdessi advances nicely into full mount. Makdessi is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Makdessi extends the arm and Liddell is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Myles Makdessi! After the fight, Myles Makdessi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
