Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris The Great! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 6 - 2, fighting out of London, Ken Hansen! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Great. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hansen.
The Great avoids the head kick by Hansen.
Hansen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hansen wants it to stay on the feet. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hansen, right into the meat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hansen. Hansen throws a nice inside leg kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hansen, right into the meat.
Hansen lands with a kick to the ribs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Good leg kick by Hansen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hansen throws a front kick that sends The Great stumbling back into the cage. The Great is breathing heavily. Hansen feints and then cracks The Great's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow The Great down. Hansen scoring well with a low kick there.
Hansen connects with a leg kick. The Great looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The Great drives through with a takedown into guard. Hansen is looking for a triangle but The Great pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Great manages to get himself to full guard.
Hansen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hansen wants to control from the top but The Great keeps moving. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hansen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen advances position into side control! Hansen lands a nice forearm strike. The Great regains half guard. It looks like Hansen is going to stand back up.
Hansen is thwarting The Great's attempts to control the position. Hansen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The Great defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The Great blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hansen. Hansen drops an elbow to the side of The Great's head. Hansen tries to pass to full mount but The Great defends it. The Great is refusing to be controlled, as Hansen sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hansen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Hansen dominating with strikes here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hansen in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hansen looking to finish The Great with some ground and pound. This is bad for The Great! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Hansen dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The Great misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hansen.
The Great shoots in for a takedown but Hansen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hansen lands a nice shot that snaps The Great's head back.
The Great tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hansen was well out of range. Poor timing from The Great. The Great misses with a hook. Hansen ducked under it nicely. Hansen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Hansen connects with a solid leg kick. The Great is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A solid leg kick lands there for Hansen.
Hansen throws the kick towards the body but The Great avoids it. The Great closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hansen circles away. Hansen throws a shot to the body.
Hansen has The Great up against the cage in a clinch.
Hansen is working The Great over against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hansen scores a nice knee to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A knee to the head by Hansen.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hansen tries to pass the half guard into mount. The Great knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The Great avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hansen. Hansen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The Great tries to get to full guard but Hansen has control of the leg. The Great keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hansen working over The Great with some ground and pound. The Great looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Great is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hansen jumps into side control! Hansen working the ground and pound. Check out the look on Hansen's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hansen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Great has escaped the position, nice work there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hansen cracks The Great with a big elbow. Hansen throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Great tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hansen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hansen wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Great keeps working. Hansen is trying to get an arm triangle but The Great is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear The Great down.
Hansen trying to control the action but The Great is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Hansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! The Great's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
The Great stuffs the takedown attempt from Hansen. Hansen gets slowly back to his feet. Hansen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from The Great. Hansen thows a body kick. The Great tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hansen moves into the clinch. Hansen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hansen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of The Greats head. The Great fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hansen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ken Hansen has got the better of the ground game so far. Hansen slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen slips a nice elbow through The Great's hands, connecting with The Great's forehead. The Great keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The Great avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hansen. Hansen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Great doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hansen. Hansen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Great defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hansen lands a nice short elbow. Hansen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hansen trying to mount his opponent but The Great defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen moves into full mount! The Great won't be happy about that! Hansen unloading with bombs! Hansen scoring with strikes but The Great is staying in there. The Great sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Hansen uses his free foot to push down on The Great's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for The Great.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen trying to control but The Great is having none of it. Hansen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Chris The Great has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ken Hansen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The Great is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hansen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hansen wants to control the pace but The Great is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Hansen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hansen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ken Hansen! After the fight, Ken Hansen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
