Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Negan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaslik Styless (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Negan pushes Styless up against the cage in a clinch.
Styless gets through Negan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Styless has Negan pressed against the cage, preventing Negan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Negan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Styless can't fight it off and eventually Negan manages to take the fight to the floor. Styless looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Styless has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Negan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Negan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Negan wants to stand and escape but instead Styless has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Styless tries to free his leg and advance position but Negan is retaining full guard.

Negan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Styless.

Negan is breathing heavily.
Styless shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Negan as he jumps to the side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Styless looks to throw the jab but Negan is out of range.
Philip Negan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Negan. That's going to slow Styless down.

Negan throws a leg kick which misses Styless's front leg but catches the back leg as Styless tries to avoid it.

Negan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Styless was well out of range. Poor timing from Negan.

Negan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Negan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Styless.
Styless dips to his left and cracks Negan with an uppercut!
Styless fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Styless.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Negan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Styless tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Styless has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Styless has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Negan defend it? Styless steps over the head and cranks it - Negan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Styless!
