Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lubomir Aleksandrowicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Tommy ! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tommy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Some wild striking there from Aleksandrowicz.
Aleksandrowicz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Tommy gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tommy working away. Aleksandrowicz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tommy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Aleksandrowicz parries the strikes from Tommy easily there. Tommy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Aleksandrowicz to escape.
Tommy is trying to get an arm triangle but Aleksandrowicz is defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tommy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aleksandrowicz to his feet. Aleksandrowicz looks for a takedown but Tommy sprawls well. Jason Tommy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tommy darts in and clinches Aleksandrowicz up against the cage. Tommy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aleksandrowicz scores with a nice strike. Aleksandrowicz's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Aleksandrowicz duly obliges. Tommy dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A clash of legs there as Tommy blocks the low kick. Tommy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Aleksandrowicz's head backwards.

Tommy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tommy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Tommy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tommy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aleksandrowicz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's two minutes gone in the round. Aleksandrowicz drops back looking for a leg! Tommy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tommy manages to kick Aleksandrowicz off! Aleksandrowicz jumps back into Tommy 's guard. Aleksandrowicz gets to his feet - Tommy follows without any prompting. No joy there for Aleksandrowicz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tommy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aleksandrowicz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tommy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aleksandrowicz to his feet. Tommy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aleksandrowicz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Aleksandrowicz is looking to clinch. Aleksandrowicz looks for a takedown but Tommy sprawls well. Aleksandrowicz is breathing heavily. Tommy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Tommy . Tommy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tommy wants to pass the guard but Aleksandrowicz is keeping the position. Tommy is in close to Aleksandrowicz's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tommy forces his way into half guard. Tommy is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Aleksandrowicz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jason Tommy ! After winning the bout, Jason Tommy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
