Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Saxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monk has chosen Lil Wayne. King Carter as his entrance music. Marcus Monk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saxon throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Monk makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Saxon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Saxon misses with a double jab
and Monk counters with a body kick.
Saxon misses with a double jab.
Saxon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Saxon swings widly with a right hand
and Monk counters with a left to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Saxon. Those never looked like landing.
Saxon misses the shot to the body.
Saxon throws a body punch but Monk moves out of range.
Saxon thows a left - swing and a miss!
Saxon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Monk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Saxon misses with a double jab
and Monk counters with a low kick, right behind Saxon 's knee.
Saxon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Saxon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saxon misses with a series of wild punches.
Monk cracks a nice hook into Saxon's ribs.
Saxon is breathing heavily.
Saxon misses the shot to the body.
Monk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Monk showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Monk decides to return to a standing position.
Saxon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Monk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Saxon misses with a wild combination.
Saxon throws a combination that misses
and Monk makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Saxon really felt that one!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Monk counters with a three punch combo that has Saxon backing up. Saxon nods at Monk to acknowledge the strikes.
Saxon looks to land a combination but Monk avoids it well.

and Monk counters with a head kick.
Monk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saxon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Saxon just misses with a punch to the body.
Monk scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Saxon looks for the body kick but Monk saw that one coming.
Saxon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Monk counters with a three punch combo that has Saxon backing up. Saxon nods at Monk to acknowledge the strikes.

and Monk counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Monk cracks a nice hook into Saxon's ribs.
Saxon misses with an uppercut
and Monk makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Johnny Saxon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Saxon misses with a body shot.
A left lands for Monk.
Monk scores with a kick to the midsection.

Monk lands a nice looking body kick.
Saxon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Monk. Monk obviously looking to wear him down.
Monk pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Saxon back to the cage. Monk follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Saxon throws a combination that misses
letting Monk counter with a right hand.
Saxon is rocked!
Monk grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Saxon takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Monk cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
